Sindh Government has decided to appoint Iftikhar Ali Shalwani as Administrator Karachi.
According to sources, notification of his appointment will be issued today (Saturday).
Iftikhar Shalawani is currently posted as Sindh Local Government Secretary.
According to CM House sources, the provincial government has planned to appoint ex-commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shalwani as Administrator of the city.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at Chief Minister House where it was decided to appoint Iftikhar Shalwani, a 21-Grade officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, as Administrator Karachi.
Last week, Iftikhar Shalwani was removed from the post of commissioner Karachi and was appointed as Secretary Local Government.
It is pertinent to mention here that Iftikhar Shalawani has also served as Commissioner Karachi and last month, the Sindh government transferred Iftikhar Shalawani and appointed Sohail Rajput as commissioner Karachi.
According to the notification issued by the Sindh government, Iftikhar Shalawani has been appointed as Secretary Local Government Housing and Planning and Secretary Local Government Roshan Ali Sheikh was posted in General Services.
