Bahawalpur: TikTok craze claims another life

A boy lost his life while filming a video for popular video-sharing platform TikTok in Bahawalpur, on Saturday. 

According to details, a boy went to the canal along with his friends, was fell into the Sadiqa canal as his foot was slipped while recording a video in Mandi Sadiq Ganj in Minchinabad, Bahalwalpur district of Punjab and he drowned. 

The deceased, identified as Muhammad Sufiyan.

Police have rushed at the location and commenced investigation into the matter and decided to interrogate the friends of the deceased. 

Earlier, July 10, a 10th grade student accidentally shot and killed himself while filming a video for popular video-sharing platform TikTok in Abbottabad, police said on Friday.

The deceased, identified as Abdul Samad was reportedly filming himself with a pistol when he accidentally pulled the trigger, killing himself.

The body was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.

This is not the first time that a life has been lost while shooting a TikTok video.
