Well, I came here to US in 2003, did my MS here from NJIT, then got a job offer, and have been working for this company since 1994, got married last year and now stuck as a glue to this country hehehe
Life changed in the past few years soooo fast that feel like i m still spinning around. But I am getting my feet on the ground, growing my circle here day by day. I am still in touch with all my group mates of NED who are Sadaf, Arfa and Madiha, Asim, Ammad, Talha, and more. Sadaf is in UK, Arfa is in Karachi, Madiha is in Canada, Asim is here in Chicago, Ammad is also here is Connecticut, Talha is in Dubai these days. I dont know if you remember Faraz Zuberi he is also in Dubai. Well there is a huge list I am still touching base with so you can tell I am totally opposite now of what a reserved feline I used to be in NED :-)
Its really wonderful to see you have a daughter, and for some reason your husband seems so familiar. May be I have worked for IUCN so I've seen active people like him there.....when I saw his profile I was wondering he seems so familiar person. Anyways, I hope I have given you the updates of my world around. And yes, Omair Qureshi is also in my friend's list since he was from Mech. you might know him well. By the way this meathead has been absconding from his friends for years since we passed out from NED. I dont know how he added me here, probably an accident heheheh check him out :)

I am NEDian from NED Engineering college. We have registered NED global and formed a committee of NED 1974 batch and even gathered somefuns but have done nothing for NED till now as we need more moral and financial support to do something concrete. So those NEDians living in pakistan and wants to do something for NED may please contribute in the form of ideas and do something concrete for a good cause. An institute is known through those who are their ex-students.

Pahalgam Attack: Why is the Indian Media Not Asking Hard Questions?

A recent terrorist attack on April 22 in Kashmir has killed 26 Indian tourists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu Nationalist government took no time to blame Pakistan for the attack and vowed to "punish" the neighbor for it. Indian media, also derisively known as "Godi media", immediately went into overdrive to demand action against Pakistan. New Delhi followed up with suspending the Indus Basin Water treaty from the 1960s which guarantees 80% of the water from the three western rivers…

Earth Day: Pakistan's Progress Toward Low-Carbon Economy

Pakistan celebrates Earth Day on April 22 every year by organizing various events sponsored by the government and non-government organizations to raise awareness of the issues faced by the earth. Today it is being observed with a range of initiatives, including pledges for zero waste, commitments to sustainable practices, and community-based actions to protect the planet. Pakistan contributes less than 1% of global carbon emissions, but it is among the countries considered most vulnerable to…
